DESCRIPTION:

You can not come to Bilbao without No you can not come to Bilbao without approaching this traditional town, even if it is to taste the dish that has made it famous: its sardines !. There is almost nothing left of those times in which Santurtzi was the port of greatest importance in inshore fishing and was toured by the romantic figures of sardines!

 

Discover the beautiful panoramic view of the Abra Bay, the open-air sculptural museum, the fishing port and the Queen Victoria promenade, where you can appreciate the seafaring past of this unique Vizcaya village. Ride a fishing boat stranded on land or find the mystery of corsairs and pirates.

 

Let yourself be enveloped by its smell, its tradition and its people. Discover incredible places.

 

The visit ends in the most Bilbao style, we go for pintxos !! (pintxo-pot included in the tour). The pintxo is the 5th essence, an appetizer the size of a bite.

 

Option 1. Tour Parade of sardineras

Tour that runs through the historic part of Santurtzi, the Interpretation Center Santurtzi Itsasoa, Agurtza Interpretation Center of fishing, among many other things. Tasting a pintxo-pot.

 

Option 2. Gastronomic tour.

During our tour, in which we explained the origin and development of the port, we visited four traditional places to taste the typical pintxos (a kind of Basque version of the tapas), one of the specialties of the fabulous cuisine of the Basque Country.

 

In this way, we will have the opportunity to integrate fully into the way of life and customs of the people of Bilbao, knowing the old part of the city, as we know the most traditional pintxos and the reason for their origin, among other curiosities.

 

Option 3. Tour Parade of sardines to Portugalete

Tour that runs through the historic part of Santurtzi, the Interpretation Center Santurtzi Itsasoa, Agurtza Interpretation Center of fishing, among many other things. Tasting a pintxo-pot. We will continue through the second Vizcaya village, Portugalete and we will finish at the Bizkaia Bridge.

Antes que nada, ¿qué es un pintxo? 
Los pintxos son pequeños aperitivos, servidos en bares y tabernas de todo el País Vasco. Son el vasco por excelencia y forman la columna vertebral de la cultura alimentaria local. Aprende a preparar algunos de los platos de pintxos por excelencia de la región. Tendrás la oportunidad de saboree los frutos de su esfuerzo.
Las clases de cocina de cuatro horas le brindan el sabor perfecto de la cocina local, desde pintxos tradicionales hasta cocina de vanguardia, baja temperatura y cocina sous vide y algunas técnicas de gastronomía molecular.
Un concepto único, inspirado en las sociedades gastronómicas vascas locales. 
 
Al igual que en las sociedades locales, en el almuerzo de mesa de mi chef, la línea entre la cocina y el comedor está borrosa. Tome asiento alrededor del mostrador de mi chef para ver de cerca la acción de cocinar. 
 
Este no es un restaurante; mi exclusiva cena de mesa del chef está especialmente diseñada para el disfrute de unos pocos invitados. Soy un apasionado de pasar un buen rato, así que relájate mientras te sirvo una copa de vino y disfrutas de esta experiencia de lujo y relajada. 
 
Esta demostración dura tres horas e incluye orientación sobre la preparación de los platos locales favoritos de nuestro chef, así como un momento fabuloso entre amigos.
